Celtic jewelry and designs are known for many years and are known for their intricate patterns and flowing. Rope work – this looks like a very detailed model flat braid or woven rope. Itare typically used for a peripheral or central pattern on rings and bracelets. The symbol of the working rope is often associated with crosses and spirals to create a flow and almost undulating pattern.

Buttons – one or two nodes are common patterns of Celtic design and represent solidarity, loyalty and commitment. Nodules formed without apparent beginning or end, and can also be used to symbolize the eternity of the world. The first Celticmodels node was thought to have developed around 450 AD.

Much of the history and exact meaning behind different Celtic jewelry patterns has been lost, and can only be assumed.
